Roles of The President
- The President is the Head of State, which allows him/her to be the ceremonial leader.
- The President is the Chief Executive, which allows him/her to direct the government.
- The President is the Chief Legislator, which allows him/her to propose bills to congress and lets him/her attempt to influence congress.
- The President is the Economic Planner, which means that he/she will prepare a federal proposal of a budget each year.
- The President is the Party Leader, which means that he/she is the most important person involved in his/her political party. (Democrat/Republican)
- The President is the Chief Diplomat which means that the President can make decisive decisions.
- The President is Commander-in-chief, which means that he/she is able to send troops to wherever he/she feels that they need to be, and he/she will dictate the military strategies and the operations.
Requirements to be President
- Born on American soil.
- Must be at least 35-years-old.
- They must have been living in the US for, at least, the past 14 years.
Line of Succession for the President
(The line of succession must also meet the qualifications of Presidency to take office as the new President of the United states.)
